Not Human Episode Twelve

                 Episode Twelve
 We arrived in ma village a day after mum agreed. Everything looked different. Wow it had been over 10 years since I last visited. We stationed ourselves in grandpa's house. And left for the medicines man's village the next day. We got there just in time to meet him. He accepted us warmly and was more than willing to help me walk. Ma mum was glad he was willing to help. She couldn't stay tho,cause she had a business to run in the city. So she left me in his care and that of Akos. The medicine man's name was Baba.
     As soon as mum left the next morning,Baba got to walk,with the help of Akos. I couldn't feel ma legs but he promised that will change. We started in a day,it moved to a week then a month. Fortunate for me I was beginning to make progress and was feeling ma legs but by bit. Akos was by ma side and supportive all the way. We spent time in ma room in one of Baba's hut alone chatting at night and telling stories. Baba's grand daughters visited from a neighbouring village and they added more fun to our stay. Akos had a lot of stories to share. And everyday after ma treatment and lunch,they would play Ampe and then later arrange chairs in ma room and tell folktales and stories. I admired Akos a lot. And sometimes,whiles i watch her play Ampe with the gals id catch her stealing a gaze at me.
       I made improvements on ma legs quickly. And sooner than later I was able to stand. Baba suggested I stand more often and with the aid of Akos walk around his compound as much as I could.
