      Kwame's boys were shot down too by the police. And they died before paramedics could get there. Kwame was stretched into an ambulance. But he died halfway to the hospital in the ambulance. Ivy returned Jessy to Ruby in the hospital. Mr Ankrah and the Danso's were very happy to see the return of Jessy. Ruby quickly asked of Rodney. "He ordered me to leave with Jessy" Ivy replied. "What?" Ruby whispered. "Don't worry,he will be fine" Ivy replied.
      "Who will be fine?" Rodney asked as he walked into the ward with his dirty blood stained shirt. "WHAT THE..!!!" Mr Ankrah screamed. As he walked towards his son. "You need to see a doctor for that wound" Mr Ankrah ordered. "I need to know first if Jessy will be fine" Rodney replied. Akua quickly rushed out to get a doctor to check on Jessy. He assured them she will be fine before Rodney allowed the doctor to treat him. Rodney was taking to another ward to be treated. His stomach area was treated and bandaged gently. Luckily for him,he didn't lose much blood. But he was put to rest in the ward by a few dosages of sedatives. A few minutes later,he woke up to see Ruby,seated in a chair by his side. "Hey" Ruby smiled. "Hey" Rodney replied. "Looks like you kept your promise after all" Ruby smiled. "When i make a promise,I make sure I keep it" Rodney smiled back. Ruby shifted close to Rodney and told him she has heard of the death of Kwame. Rodney apologised for not being able to handle things without Kwame dying and gave Ruby his condolences. But she smiled and told Rodney to not bother his thoughts with such things. "Forget about Kwame. Though some part of me feels empty because of his betrayal and death. The larger part of me is glad that he has paid for his wrongs and also he won't be around to be an obstacle in the relationship we will have with our daughter" Ruby said.
     Rodney tried to speak but Ruby snapped in one more time. "Rodney...I remember I wasn't done with the story of why I pushed you...out...out ...out of the way when I saw you chatting with Naana" Ruby stammered. "Come on the past is the past. Let it go" Rodney smiled. "No...no You need to know. Sometimes the past is a foundation on which the future can be built on. What I have to say might change how we relate to each other,either for the best or worst" Ruby said. "Ok...ok if that's what you want,no problem,go ahead. Am all ears" Rodney replied,with a confused look on his face. "Ok...here it goes....I pushed you cause I was jealous...Cause...Cause I kinda liked...loved you" Ruby stammered,bowing her head and pulling her left fingers with her right hand. "Wow,I didn't see that coming" Rodney replied. "That doesnt mean I still feel the same way for you now" Ruby quickly said. "And my excitement is cut short" Rodney replied. "How...How do you mean?" Ruby asked. Rodney forced himself to sit down on his bed. He held Ruby's hands and said "This few weeks to months that we have spent together has been nothing but joy and blessings to me. Jessy's smiles and everything about her has placed me on the kind of level of joy and happiness I never thought I could unlock in my life" Rodney said. "Oh...Jessy,yea...true" Ruby replied,with a dull face and a forced smile. "Thats not all....Her mum's smiles,beauty and infact everything about her is amazingly great and priceless.  That as well has a placed a strong hold on my heart. I can't go a day without thinking of her" Rodney whispered,as he smiled at Ruby. "Wha..what are you saying?" Ruby stammered. "I love you Ruby. My heart has fallen into your arms. And I believe your arms is the safest place it could be. I know you wouldn't drop and break it. I love you Ruby Danso. I'd love to have you as a wife because I love you,and also to give Jessy the kind of home any child is suppose to have and grow in" Rodney smiled. "Do you love me too?" Rodney asked. With her finger on her lips,slowly beginning to smile at Rodney,she whispered "I love you too",Before jumping in on Rodney to give him a passionate kiss.
       A few months later,after the burial of Kwame and the legal fatherly rights of Jessy being given to his biological dad Rodney. Rodney and Ruby got engaged. And two years later,after giving Jessy a little brother. They got married to each other and moved on to live a successful,happy marriage life together.
