The Donor Episode Eight

                 Episode Eight
        "Is that a threat?" Ruby asked. "A threat, a warning, a call out....anything you think it is I don't care. Your fertility should be as u think it is. That's all am saying" Kwame replied, before walking out on his wife. Slowly Ruby sat on her matrimonial bed whiles tears begun to run down her cheeks. She wasn't all sure about her fertility but she some how believed that if there was a problem and thats why they were not having a baby,she sure wasn't the cause.
        She laid down on the bed weeping silently. Kwame walked back in when he felt his temper was down and wasn't happy to see his wife weeping. He felt hurt within knowing fully he was the one responsible for every tear she was shedding. He slowly but gently crawled into bed,laid very close to her and wrapped his arms around her whiles he apologized. Hearing him apologize pushed Ruby to cry out a bit louder than she was. Kwame calmed and consoled her with apologies until she fell asleep. Watching his wife sleep, he promised to himself to stick by her no matter what the outcome of their test was before falling asleep as well.
           It was morning before they knew it, and they both took turns in the shower. Dressed up and headed to a clinic where one of Kwame's medical school mate worked. He was glad to receive them and advised them to take heart no matter what the result was going to be. And gave them options they could choose from should it be that one of them was incapable of giving birth. They then took the test and were asked to come for the results the next day.
          Kobby got in touch with the doctor responsible for his sperm donation business and told him about the new donor he had for him. He explained to him Rodney's decision to be anonymous and told the doctor to find a good recipient for Rodney by Monday cause he needed the money urgently to sort himself out with a few things on campus. The doctor promised to do as Kobby asked and told him to expect his call within the week. Kobby was glad to hear that and excitedly shared the news with Rodney. Meanwhile, Asabea had been calling him all day. But he just didn't feel like talking to her.
            The next day, Kwame and his wife were invited to the clinic for their test results. They were both nervous the moment they arrived at the clinic and entered the doctors office. The doctor advised them some more before opening the envelope which contained the test results. Looking at the results, the doctor slowly starred at his mate Kwame. Kwame knew the result wasn't going to be pleasing the moment he read the look on the doctor's face. The doctor smiled and said "Well well well....Mr and Mrs Yeboah. Am glad you made the decision to check for your potency and fertility months into your marriage. It's a good thing and a great step. Because with this you get to know if there is anything wrong with you before its too late. Marriage isn't something to be joked with,so is child birth. Now,with that being said. Mrs Yeboah....the test results shows that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. And you will give birth when God permits". Ruby suddenly felt like somethin had been lifted of her. Something like a burden,as she slowly begun to smile at the doctor in excitement she didnt want to show yet. The doctor paused for a few seconds and continued "Mr Yeboah my dear friend....Dr Yeboah my dear medical school mate, am glad you took the initiative to do this with your wife, and no matter what the results may be, you and your wife can choose from other medical methods and solutions, which can help you have kids,should there be a fault". Kwame swallowed hard as he anxiously waited for his friend to release the results. "Dr Yeboah. The test results shows that, you have it in you to produce sperms....But...not the amount required to fertilize a woman. In short you have a very low sperm count Dr Yeboah" The doctor said.
        Hearing that made both Kwame and Ruby gape. Ruby turned to look at her husband as he starred the doctor straight in his eyes.
