The Donor Episode Fourteen

                Episode Fourteen
     A few weeks later, Ruby started having unusual signs such as feeling nausea,weak and eventually vomiting. Kwame being a doctor clearly knew what the signs meant. But to be sure,he bought his wife a pregnancy test kit. She tested positive. Which meant she was pregnant. It was all joy for Kwame and Ruby. Kwame quickly picked up his phone to inform his mum. His mum upon hearing the news,despite how late and dark it was,travelled immediately from the village to the city to take care of her daughter in-law. Ruby's mum visited frequently to check on her daughter and her pregnancy  because she lived a few cities away from her.
          Months passed by quickly, Rodney and Asabea had decided to not date each other anymore,but rather be friends. It didn't go down well with Asabea,but she agreed any way. Because she knew that was the only way she could get close to Rodney and possibly convince him to date her once more even though she knew he had completely gotten over her. But there was one thing Asabea didn't know,that her deceit had made Rodney vowed to never date again.
        Meanwhile on the side of Ruby,she was back on campus,moving around with a fully developed pregnant tummy which meant she was close to giving birth anytime soon. She was moving towards her car with her Best friend on campus when Ruby noticed a trickling and slow leak of water running down her thighs to her legs. She paused and gasped. Her Best friend Cindy noticed her sudden pause and asked what was wrong. All Ruby said was "Am leaking down there". "What?oh mine..." Cindy said as she checked. "Your water just broke...we...we... need to get you to a clinic asap" Cindy continued. "OUCH MY TUMMY" Ruby screamed in pain. "Oh mine...Oh mine you are in labour" Cindy said. "Wha....wha...ashhh....my Baby?" Ruby asked in pain. "Yea your baby is coming. We need to get you to the hospital or clinic now. Give me your keys" Cindy said,taking the car keys from Ruby and helping her into the back seat of the car.
       Cindy quickly rushed her to the nearest hospital,where Ruby was rushed to the Labour ward. Cindy called Kwame who jumped on the first flight to kumasi to witness the birth of his first baby. He got there safely with his mum and Ruby's younger sister Akua. And moments after waiting outside the Labour ward,the doctor in charge came out of the ward with smiles on his face and said to Kwame the moment he approached him "Congratulations Sir,your wife just delivered. She gave birth to a bouncing baby girl". Everyone around,who knew Ruby jumped in joy,including Kwame. They were all permitted in no time to go and see her and her new born baby when they were moved into a private ward requested by Kwame.
