             Episode Eighteen
2 weeks passed and Akosua continued to be distant from me. I hardly saw her and was beginning to forget how her smile looked like. I was sure for now that I drove her away from me by having sex with her. And I wished I really hadn't. Cause going a day without seeing her was torture for me. Even painful than when the vehicle hit me.
      By the following week I was able to walk freely but not able run yet. But I was glad because its better to walk than sit if a wheelchair forever. Ma mum visited for the first time since she left. She brought news about Rose's new marriage among others. It had only been four months after our divorce and she had gotten married already. I really didn't feel sad or hurt by that. Of cause I felt a bit sad but not for maself. I felt sad for her and the guy she had married cause I knew her true character will show soon and the marriage will begin to head towards jeopardy in no time.
         Mum brought some new clothes and stuff for me,Akosua, Baba and his grand kids. Mum was proud and happy of ma progress and was happier when Baba told her am left with a month of treatment. And after that I could return back to the big city. A month seemed far but it quickly came and by then I had gain full control if ma legs and was able to run and kick with ease.
      A daY before I was suppose to go back to the big city,I walked into Akosua's room to tell her to start packing her belongings for the trip. Mum had left for the big city already.And was expecting us both. I got to her room and found it almost empty. The only things there were her bed and a table,There was a note on the table in her room Which had "For Manasseh" written on it. I opened and read it. It was short but contained enough emotions in it to bring down anyone into a state of melancholy.
