           Episode Twenty One
     "Ok dad,if you say so" Rodney replied. Mr Ankrah squatted in front of Jessy and smiled. Jessy had a small amount of ice cream on her left cheek. Mr Ankrah wiped it off gently and said "I hope you had a great day?". "Yes please" Jessy smiled. "Lovely,I can't wait for us to do this another time" Mr Ankrah smiled back. "Me too" Jessy replied. Mr Ankrah then touched Jessy's nose with his finger and tickled it a bit to make her laugh and then he stopped and got up. He then placed his right hand on Rodney's right shoulder and left.
       Rodney lifted Jessy up and placed her into the front passenger seat of his car and drove her to his mum's workplace. Days passed by,and the bond between Rodney and Jessy grew stronger. Mr Ankrah grew equally close to Jessy as well. Buying her gifts upon gifts and treating her like a grand dad treats his grand child. A few weeks later, On a thursday,Ivy called to inform her dad that the man she wanted to be married to was in town and that she would bring him over the weekend. Mr Ankrah was filled with joy as he announced it to his son. Rodney felt happy for his sister and couldn't wait to meet this guy his sister was so much excited about marrying.
       That afternoon he went to pick Jessy up from school like he normally did,but when he got there,he was told her dad had come for her. "Her dad?" He asked. "Yes sa" The security man on duty at that time replied. Rodney thanked him and moved towards his car. He pulled out his phone to find out from Ruby if her husband was back in the country. Ruby confirmed it,that yes he was back in the country. She moved on to explain to him that he arrived the night before at dawn. She stated that she had wanted to tell him but she forgot. "Come on its not a big deal. Am glad his back and he was truly the one who picked Jessy up. I'd be glad to meet him,now that he is town." Rodney smiled. "Sure,how about Sunday after church?" Ruby asked. "That would be great" Rodney replied. With that said, they bid each other goodbye and then Rodney hanged up.
      The weekend finally arrived and Rodney together with his dad were at his dad's place,preparing themselves to meet Ivy's future husband. They were both discussing about work when they heard the gateman open the front gate. And then a car drove in. Rodney peeped through a window to check If it was his sister's car that just drove inside. But it wasn't. The car he saw was a bit more classy and new than that of his sister's. He watched closely as the occupants of the car alighted. And there stood his beautiful sister and a man he knew nothing about. He rushed to tell his dad they had arrived. They both then sat and waited for Ivy and her future husband in the hall. Ivy knocked and then opened the door before they walked in. Mr Ankrah and Rodney received them warmly,offered them water to drink and then asked if they will take any soft drinks or alcohol. They chose to go for the soft drinks,which a house help was called to serve them with. Afterwards,Mr Ankrah asked Ivy's man to introduce himself. "Thanks sir,well am Mr Titus Yeboah,I live overseas and work as a medical doctor. I've been there for sometime now and i had been single for a long time till I met your beautiful daughter on Facebook a year ago. We have been chatting since then and talked over the phone as well. I've grown to love her so much and she has as well. So my coming here isn't about anything bad or any other reason. My coming here is to purposely ask for her hand in marriage."
