    She then told them that she has permitted him to pick her little  girl up from school everyday. So they should allow him to do so when he comes for her. With that said, Rodney walked Ruby over to her car and after talking for a few minutes,he watch her drive off before he left for work. At exactly 3pm, Rodney picked Jessy from school and drove her to his work place. Rodney's dad was sitted in Rodney's office when they walked in. "Hi dad" Rodney greeted. "Where have you been?" His dad asked. "You remember I told you I would be picking an old mate's daughter from school everyday because of her busy schedule at the bank?" Rodney asked. "Yea...yes,is this her daughter?" Rodney's dad asked. "Yes dad" Rodney replied. Rodney's dad turned to face Jessy and said "Hello young lady,welcome to our workplace. Am Rodney's dad,nice to meet you". "Nice to meet you too sir" Jessy replied. "Hahaha,don't call me sir. Just call me Mr Ankrah" Rodney's dad smiled. "Ok Mr Ankrah" Jessy replied. "Ought a girl. Smart girl" Mr Ankrah smiled. "You look a lot like my late wife" Mr Ankrah said,slowly growing sad. "Dad...dad not now" Rodney said.
      "She truly does boy,look at her eyes and her face" Mr Ankrah said,with tears flowing down his left cheek. Jessy gently wiped it with her fingers for him and smiled. Mr Ankrah smiled back at her,before getting up and leaving Rodney's office. "Your mum is dead?" Jessy asked. Rodney paused what he was doing for a moment and replied "Yea...over a year now". "Sorry" Jessy said. "Thanks dear....anywayyy,aren't you hungry?" Rodney asked. "Nope" Jessy replied. "Why?what did you eat?" Rodney asked. "Waakye" Jessy replied. "So you good?" Rodney asked. "Yep" Jessy replied. "Ok,but if you are hungry don't be shy to tell me ok?" Rodney said. "Ok" Jessy replied. Rodney then flipped some books open and begun to do some paper works. At exactly 4pm, he signed out and dropped Jessy of at the bank. He took her inside and conversed for a few minutes with Ruby before leaving.
       Everything went on just fine with him picking and dropping her off at Ruby's workplace. One friday afyernoon,after Rodney had picked Jessy up and were sitted in his office, his dad called him to his office,and then sent him to cash a cheque for him at Barclays bank. He then told him to not go with Jessy,and ordered him to leave her in his care. Rodney did exactly that and rushed to the bank. He got back and couldn't find his dad or Jessy. He rushed out to ask his dad's Secretary where they were. She claimed she had no idea. Rodney watched the clock and it was almost 4pm. He rushed outside and luckily for him there they were,walking towards him with a big sized ice cream in Jessy's right hand and a white polythene bag in her left hand. Rodney moved towards them and asked "Where have you guys been?". "Mr Ankrah took me shopping" Jessy smiled. "Dad?" Rodney asked. "Yes son,yes" Mr Ankrah replied. "But you never took me or my kid sis Ivy shopping before,cause you claimed you were always busy" Rodney smiled,with a surprise look on his face.
       "Yea I know I know,we never did such things when you were little. But I don't know why,I just like this little girl. Something about her reminds me of your mother. And seriously boy,I wish she was my child or my grand-child" Mr Ankrah replied. "Ohhh I see where this is going,dad I will have kids when am ready. Am not even married. And Ivy is still in the university so she can't give you grand kids too. You will have to wait a bit longer dad" Rodney said. "Dont bet on it boy,She called the other day and said something about coming over next month to introduce the man she wants to marry to us" Mr Ankrah replied. "Dad....She Is not ready" Rodney said. "Boy its not up to you to decide for her,you chose to be single and no one decided that for you" Mr Ankrah replied. "But dad" Rodney tried to speak before his dad snapped in "Dont but me boy,your sister is an adult now,younger than you but still an adult. Let her make her own decisions." Mr Ankrah said.
