   “You can’t have that baby Asabea. We have to think of something” Rodney replied. “Stop beating about the bush…i…I know u want us to abort this baby. Just say it” said Asabea, in a low harsh tone. “I don’t know, but that seems to be the only way out of this Asabea. You know it’s the only way.” Rodney replied. “Well…I’ve already thought about that…but…but,Roddy u know nothing is for free in this country and am scared I might die or lose my womb”. Rodney sighed, as there was a previous silence between the two. “Well, for the money aspect I think I have a solution to that.”Rodney said,breaking the silence. “Bring it on board”Asabea replied. “Well…well I got my fees today. Its Gh₵ 1500. We can deduct an amount from it and with that we can cover up the expenses we will incur aborting the baby.” Rodney whispered,turning towards the direction of his door. “Ok, I think that’s a good idea, but am scared” Asabea cried. “Don’t worry baby,everything is going to be alright. Trust me” Rodney whispered. “Ok baby, So how will I get the money?” Asabea asked. “What money?” Rodney responded with a counter question. “Ahh what do u mean by what money? The money for the abortion of course” Asabea replied. “You need the money now? I thought we will go together and I’ll work all the payments with the doctor myself,so I can’t give the money to u” Rodney said.
        “No no no Rodney, I want to abort it now..i…I mean I can’t wait another second with an unwanted pregnancy in my tummy. I want to get this done with asap baby. Just send me the money and I’ll do it today before I come to campus tomorrow” Asabea replied, in a worried tone. “No, I need to go with u, just to be sure.” Rodney said. “Just to be sure of what? Is it that you don’t believe me or you don’t trust me?” Asabea asked,sounding a bit pissed.“Well I don’t know what to think or believe now, am confused….tha…that’s all” Rodney replied. “And u can’t go alone baby. I need to be there with you” Rodney continued. “Ok, I live in Cape coast and u live in Accra. It is 12 noon now and I want to do it before the sun goes down. What time will u get here for me to do this? Please just send me the money, don’t worry about me being alone cause I won’t be. My elder sis knows of this and she is willing to take me to a specialist.
       All I need now is the money Rodney” Asabea said. Rodney sighed and asked “So you told your sister about it?”. “Yea why not? We talk about everything. There is no harm in trusting her. So when will you send the money?...what time? Cause it has to be today and before 1pm” Asabea replied. “Are you sure we can trust her?” Rodney asked. “Yea we can” Asabea replied. “Ok,so how much did she say it will cost?” Rodney asked. “Well she said her friend did one just last month and it costed her Gh₵500” Asabea replied. “WHAT THE….” Rodney screamed. “Its that expensive?” He continued. “Shw3..this is Ghana oo,nothing is cheap or for free wai” Asabea replied. “Ok…ok, I'll send you the money through mobile money. I guess that will be fast and convenient enough. And one more thing, after the abortion is done,please let them give you a receipt oo” Rodney said. “Hahaha,eii Rodney paaa. A receipt for abortion? Are u kidding?” Asabea laughed.
